I've been away from blogging the last few weeks, due to the holidays. I have a few more sessions to share from the end of 2016. This one being by far one of favorites of. Theses two are such a sweet and loving couple, and my god their session was just breathtaking! This little boy should be arriving some time this month! He's going to be so precious, and these two are going to be two of the best and most loving parents. There session took place on a farm in which on of her best friends lives on, and was so very nice and willing to let us use this location. It was the perfect setting for this sweet couple, and oh not to mention that little rainbow that is on them in some of their photos<3.
Scenic nature locations are by far my favorite, and I must say this location is one of them. This location holds a special place in my heart, because it is actually the same location where my husband and I had our engagement pictures taken this past June. So, when visiting this location I like to relive the moment we were in that day, and relate it to my couples. I always encourage my clients to be playful and to try to remain as comfortable as they possibly can. You can talk, walk, tickle, laugh, kiss, jump, run, nuzzle, and I'll capture. I always tell my clients to just act as if it's just the two of them, and that I'm not there. That works most of the time with nerves and breaking the ice!
This couples session was perfect, and I'm really looking forward to their Bramblewood barn wedding this coming June! :]
I have not been up to par with updating my blog posts in the last month in a half. As many of you know I recently married my best friend of 10 years this past September, so since our wedding things have been very busy for the both of us. I was booked weeks straight on top of working a weekday job. We're currently making plans for our future, and during these winter months while I have some free time. I'm looking for ways to expand my business, educate myself in current styles/fashion, redo my website, figure out pricing for the new year, planning stylized shoots, and expand my work to achieve the shooting style I've always envisioned. This year was a great year for my business, family, and myself. However, I'm looking and hoping for 2017 to be even better.
Now lets get to the real reason of this post...
I absolutely adore shooting senior sessions, because it always takes me back to that moment when I was a senior in 2009...I can't believe it's been almost 8 years! I love to learn the plans for my young clients futures, where they plan to go to college, and what they plan to go to college for. I love to talk to them about their wants, hobbies, interests, and their outlooks on what they think about adult hood. It is such a bittersweet moment for me, as I wish everyday that I could go back to my days in high school.
I adored everything about this session, between the weather, location, client outfits, and of course my giggly client, Jessica. We started her session out at Mingo Creek Park, and then ended in a random, but gorgeous field we came across on the side of the road.

This sweet family is always a pleasure to work with, and I'm honored that they continue to choose me to capture their memories!
Gregg and Kala were such a fun couple to work with. I love a couple who is pretty much up to do anything, and puts their trust with me fully. I like to keep my sessions as natural as possible, without too much posing, because that is when I feel clients get nervous and freeze up. These two were all about laughing, joking, and playing around. I feel we captured their love and relationship perfectly! I'm most definitely looking forward to capturing their wedding day Sept 23rd 2017!
This family was such a pleasure to work with! Ben and Amy recently just celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary. Their dog Rex has been with them since they first got married, and due to some health issues, Amy wanted to capture their family with the unknown of how much longer Rex will be here on this earth. Both of their dogs were so friendly, and you can most definitely tell they're so loved by both Amy and Ben. They for sure have such a strong bond with they furbabies. I love when clients bring their dogs to a session. As a dog lover myself, I feel it is always a great idea to include them in family photos.
